Why did you choose Georgia Southern? “Georgia Southern University was the only school that I wanted to attend and the only school that I actually applied to. That wasn’t because I was lazy at all. It’s just the only place I really felt at home. They say that when you walk onto a campus for the first time it will just feel right. That happened for me. Other places I visited just didn’t feel right. Georgia Southern felt like home. I chose Georgia Southern because, at the time, I wanted to be an IT major and we have the hands-down best College of Information Technology, or really, the ONLY College of Information Technology around. I chose Georgia Southern because there were SO many ways that I could get involved. From on campus activities, to off campus activities at the BCM, there truly is something for everyone. I guess I chose Georgia Southern because it was right for me.”

Justin’s Georgia Southern Experience: “My Georgia Southern experience so far has been the experience of a lifetime!! The experiences I’ve had and the people that I’ve had the opportunity to meet are things that I simply could not have experienced anywhere else. For example, I had the amazing opportunity to have dinner with Captain Jim Lovell of NASA’s Apollo 13 when the office of Student Leadership and Civic Engagement hosted a lecture series. One of my most favorite activities is the Baptist Collegiate Ministries. It’s far more than “just a bunch of church kids”. It’s a great community of friends that are always there for each other. I’ve met so many great people that have become my best friends, roommates, and my amazing girlfriend. I wouldn’t trade any of that for anything! My classes have also been one of a kind. The teachers that I’ve had all really cared for my success and did what they could to ensure that happened for me. Whether that be spending extra time explaining something to even calling me and just asking how it’s going. There’s just something different about GSU, and I LOVE it!”
